Three Transfers Chelsea Could Complete This Week – Including Griezmann
The EPL defending champions have been a shadow of themselves thus far, they struggled in their first match against Swansea where they managed to earn a draw then they were mauled 3-0 by their arch rivals Manchester City in the following game.
Their poor start has been against the expectation of fans and pundits alike but it has been attributed to the poor show offs or deep in form displayed by some of their players. However, It is understood that Billionaire owner, Roman Abrahamovic is making a move to the rescue of Chelsea to prevent further crises and has asked for the three players to be brought in to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea should take a look at the following players
Antoine Griezman
Griezmann signed for the Spanish giant Althletico Madrid from Real Sociedad last season and enjoyed a fantastic debut season with the club where he scored an impressive 25goals for Diego Simeone’s led side. The 24-year-old France international has been valued at £54.6m and it is understood that the player will be allowed to leave if his valuation is met by any suitor. With Chelsea’s current striking problem, they should break the bank for Griezmann. Falcao swapped United for Chelsea but has fail to replicate his form at Athletico Madrid, frustrating Mourinho.
Cuadrado
The Columbian shined in the world cup of last year but has failed to impress since he moved from Florentina to Chelsea in the January transfer window. The 27-year-old attacker has let out his frustration over playing from the bench to Hazard and Willian but his form can not give him a nod over any of the aforementioned players. Mourinho has said he is willing to offload the player only if the price offered for him is right. It is thought by pundits that Chelsea should sell him in order to make way for a better attacking option.
Rahman Baba
Last Sunday, on Chelsea’s second match of the season, the defense put up a shambolic performance that saw them conceded three un-replied goals to their rivals Manchester City. However, it was announced that Chelsea had completed the signing of Baba but the player has been unable to join his new team mates at London due to work permit issues. If Chelsea wants to strengthen their weak-looking defense, the need to, by all means, secure a work permit for the impressive 21-year-old versatile defender.
