Toni Kroos Moving to England for £40m as Blues & United are in Contact with Real Madrid Superstar’s Agent

Chelsea and Manchester are reportedly the top clubs that have shown great interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder after making contact with player’s agent.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, United and Chelsea knew Kroos was unsettled under former manager Rafa Benitez, and the player had asked his agent Volker Struth to find another club.

According to the reports, Chelsea was the club to open talks with Struth over a £40 million move worth £4.5 million a year to the former Beyern Munich midfielder, and the Red Devils have recently declared their interest in signing the player on a similar deal.

Kroos was reportedly unhappy at Madrid under former manager Rafa Benitez due to lack of playing, and with Benitez out of the picture, this have become more complicated in the recent weeks.

The 26-year-old moved to Bernabeu in 2014 and immediately became a smash hit with Los Blancos, fixing the midfield. While he took on a more defensive role than he previously played with Bayern Munich, he hardly missed a step and ended up playing a huge role for the club.

Things haven’t been so smooth in the 2015/2016 season. Benitez arrived at Real Madrid to replace Carlo Ancellotti as manager during the summer, and the Spaniard brought a new, more defensive philosophy with him that dint suit Kroos’ playing style at all.
