Chelsea target Alexandre Pato has expressed an interest in a move to Premier League. The former AC Milan star, who is finally over his injury problems, joined Brazilian club Corinthians in 2013, and he has scored 26 goals during his loan spell at Sao Paulo.
The Brazilian’s recent performances have attracted a lot of interest from Premier League clubs, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool reportedly interest in the 26-year-old.

“Before I came to Italy to play for Milan in 2007, I saw in the papers that my name was mentioned in connection with some English clubs,” he told Mail on Sunday and Sunday Telegraph. “I was told Chelsea were interested, but my dream was to play with Ronaldo. When Milan called my manager, I wanted to go there to make my dreams of playing with Ronaldo and (Paolo) Maldini come true.
“But one day I knew I would like to come to England because I think the Premier League is the number one in the world. It is very competitive. I like the emotion in the English league. You look at the TV, and you see the stadium and the fans.” Pato added: “My dream is to come back to Europe. I think it has to be to a club that plays to be champions. That challenges and has ambition.”
Premier League champions are also trying to sign Leicester City’s in-form striker Jamie Vardy.
Metro reports that the Blues have already expressed interest in England international’s services and will try to sign the 28-year-old in the January transfer window. Vardy has already scored 14 Premier League goals this season and Mourinho has recently hinted that he would be interested in his services.
Chelsea will travel to King Power Stadium to face table toppers Leicester City on Monday night, and in his pre-match conference, Mourinho confirmed his interest in Vardy: “He is top scorer, and it is normal big clubs want him. It is a beautiful story, and his record is historic.” The Foxes value their star at £25million.
