Unexpected: Star Eager to Leave Arsenal to Ensure his Place at Euro 2016
Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs is reportedly considering his future at the Emirates Stadium after losing his place to in-form Nacho Monreal.
According to reports, the 26-year-old doubts that lack of first-team football he is presently enduring could jeopardize his chances of featuring in Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the European Championship in the summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly assured him of game time ahead of the Euros this summer, but despite the Frenchman’s promise, Gibbs is still contemplating his stay at the Emirates Stadium and may consider a move.
One of Gibb’s most recent games was during the FA Cup fixture on Saturday against Burnley, where he played full 90 minutes.
It is already speculated that a host of Premier League clubs including Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Swansea are monitoring his progress as they look forward to strengthen their squads.
According to close sources, the 26-year-old England international is believed to be willing to sit it out and push for a move before the transfer window shuts in the next few hours.
