United Target Keen to Join Gunners and Refuses to Sign Contract Extension

Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama is reportedly reluctant to sign a new deal with his club and wants to wait until the summer to decide his future, amid speculations that Arsenal are keen on signing him during the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old Kenyan midfielder has been a key player for the Saints and has attracted interest from various Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham.

Reports have it that Wanyama has been offered a five-year-deal to commit his future to St. Mary’s but he is determined that Arsenal or Tottenham will come for him again this year.

Last summer the 24-year-old submitted a transfer request after learning that a number of club wanted his services.

The Saint, however do not want him to enter the final year of his current contract as they know they will have a hard time selling him for a reduced release clause.
Meanwhile, Southampton forward Sadio Mane is also hoping to sign for a bigger club in the summer.
