Man Utd have been left stunned after the recent reports claimed that Man City new man Pep Guardiola plans to bring Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski to Etihad Stadium as his first signing at the club.
The Sun reports that City are willing to spend up to £75m to acquire the services of the player, who was also courted by Real Madrid and Man Utd.
The 27-year-old recently claimed that he would be willing for a move away from Bayern Munich in the future.
“As a professional footballer, it’s hard to say,” he told Die Welt am Sonntag.
“Many times I have heard players say such a thing and then in comes another coach and they are no longer in such high demand. Or they get a very interesting offer.”
“In any case, I feel very well at Bayern and will always give everything for the team while I’m here. I focus exclusively on Bayern.”
