Neymar Moving to Manchester United

United Trying to Complete the Signing of Neymar, In Talks with Players Agent and Offering £100m to Barcelona

According to latest reports, Man Utd are desperate to complete the signing of Barcelona superstar Neymar. Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claim that the Red Devils are trying their best to sign the Brazilian superstar.

United are reportedly ready to spend upwards of £100m to secure the services of the 23-year-old. Neymar is currently in negotiations with Barcelona over a new deal, but reliable reports, in past, have suggested that the Brazilian might be tempted by a big money move to Premier League.

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, back in November, claimed that Neymar is flirting with the idea of moving to Man Utd.

He said: “Basically Barcelona want Neymar to stay, but he is no rush to renew his contract because he wants to see how his tax situation develops and, meanwhile, he will flirt with the likes of Manchester United.”

Even Barcelona former President Juan Laporta suggested last year that signing Lionel Messi from Barcelona might be a lost cause, but the Catalan club can be convinced to sell Neymar as they are currently struggling with their economic situation.

“Messi will never leave Barca. It is part of our emblem and our heart,” Laporta said. “I received many proposals when I was president. Notably Inter, who wanted to pay his release clause but I always refused.”

“For Neymar, it’s different. The economic situation of the club is not good, but the current president, to balance the books must sell players or assets. And the best solution is to sell a great player. There is talk of a proposal for Man United. But all that, it is because of the mismanagement of the current leadership.”
Man Utd unsuccessfully tried to sign Neymar in the summer transfer window, but their advances were turned down by the Catalan club.

It remains to be seen if Barca will be able to turn down a world record bid for their star this time. Neymar was the second runner-up in this year’s Ballon d’Or race.
