Valencia ace Sofiane Feghouli is in the last year of his contract with the La Liga club. Despite continuous efforts, Los Che have failed to tie him down to a new deal, and he is set to walk away from the club as a free agent in the summer.
The Sun claims that Premier League duo of Man Utd and Liverpool are interested in signing the Algerian international in the summer transfer window.
The 26-year old has been an integral part of the La Liga ever since his arrival from Grenoble in 2010. He has reportedly turned down the latest offer from Valencia, which would have made him club’s best-paid player along with captain Dani Parejo.
Feghouli lost his place in Valencia’s starting eleven under former head coach Nuno, but following the arrival of Gary Neville at the club he has once again restored his place in the team.
Both Liverpool and Man Utd are eager to take advantage of Feghouli’s current contract situation and are have made him their top transfer target. The Reds have previously attempted to sign the Algerian back in 2013.
He recently commented on his contract situation: “Now I am concentrating only on Valencia. I leave these matters to my agents. I am only concentrating on performing on the pitch.”
