Van Gaal Set To Convince Dutchman To Join Manchester United

In his characteristic love for the youth, Louis van Gaal has once again discovered another talent, this time in Holland. His is Daley Sinkgraven, a 19-year-old attacker who can play on the left wing or through the middle from an advanced midfield position. Several reports have continued to claim that come January transfer window, Manchester United will be looking to price him away from SC Heerenveen.

With the rate of injury worries that ravaged Manchester United this season, the Dutch boss had handed debuts to about three youngsters at various times. He had introduced Tyler Blacklet, Paddy McNair and James Wilson, and this trio seem to have stolen the attention from Adnan Januzaj. It will be recalled that Januzaj got his competitive debut when erstwhile manager, David Moyes called him up to salvage about 3 matches for the Red Devils last term.

However, with the claims that Louis van Gaal is now eyeing Sinkgraven who is said to possess more qualities than Adnan, tongues are beginning to wag about the 19-year-old’s future at Manchester because to say the truth, Januzaj will not get enough game time under Louis van Gaal as a result of the Dutchman’s formation style whether with the 3-5-2 or 4-1-2-1-2. He will still have to queue behind Rooney and Mata, and worse still is the 3-5-2, if van Gaal plays him on the wings, how will young Adnan fare when required to track back and help out with defensive duties?

Till now, Adnan Januzaj hasn’t made a single start for the senior team this season and even with his recent hat-trick for the youth team, the young Belgian international has not found the momentum that made many pundits liken him to the versatile Ryan Giggs, as Louis van Gaal tries to get his Manchester United to an enviable level. Januzaj has been contenting himself with a couple of substitute appearances without much impact. This development can be due to the presence of more qualified squad members, because if you had the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and now Radamel Falcao to compete with, you’d probably lie low too.

This is not to say that Louis van Gaal has no plans for the youngster in fact rumours have it that the Dutchman offloaded Danny Welbeck and even sanctioned a loan deal that saw Hernandez move to Spain to create space for James Wilson and Adnan Januzaj, but notwithstanding, pundits have continued to react with many of them advising Adnan to exit the club. The rumours of Sinkgraven might affect the morale of the Belgian but he need not worry, Ajax are also monitoring the youngster and they are more likely to get him as they can offer him more first team football so that the youngster can gain invaluable experience before attempting to go abroad.
