VIDEO – Becks: It’s always nice to beat Chelsea

The MLS All Stars showed how much progress football in the USA has made by beating newly crowned European Champions Chelsea in a pre-season friendly.

Chris Wondolowski, the 29-year-old American who plays for San Jose Earthquakes, look the lead after 20 minutes after a cross from Thierry Henry.

Twelve minutes later Chelsea equalised with a John Terry header from a Lampard free-kick, before Chelsea took the lead on the hour after Lampard converted a Ramires cross at the back post.

With 20 minutes to go Chris Pontius, the 25-year-old D.C. United forward, levelled things up again with Beckham involved in the build-up. MLS All Stars secured the win with an injury time goal thanks to Seattle Sounders FC’s Eddie Johnson.
