Chelsea came from two goals behind today, despite going down to ten men, to ensure that they will be playing Champions League football next season.
Frank Lampard was the scorer of both goals, meaning he equalised then beat Chelsea’s all-time highest goalscorer record. He is now on 203 goals for the club but is likely to leave the club in the summer.
“It means everything to me, you see the support I’ve had from the team-mates at the end, the fans, it means everything,” he said after the game. “I lost my Mum a few years ago and she was my biggest supporter, so it was for her.”
