Wayne Rooney Made Some Shocking Choices in his Nominations for FIFA Coach of the Year
Man Utd skipper Wayne Rooney made some interesting choices in his nominations for the FIFA coach of the year award. The skipper obviously didn’t pick United manager Louis Van Gaal in his nominations, but he also failed to nominate the award winner Luis Enrique.
Surprisingly, Rooney’s first choice to win the award was former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. His second choice was current Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola.
Considering that both of these managers have been linked with the job at Old Trafford, Rooney’s choice certainly won’t fill the Dutchman with confidence.
Rooney’s third choice was Chile national coach Jorge Sampaoli, who won the Copa America tournament with the national team last year.
