Welcome To Anfield? Liverpool Target REVEALS SHOCKING Move Is On The Card

Liverpool’s chances of getting Paris St-Germain and Argentina winger, Ezequiel Lavezzi, have hit the rocks as the player has revealed to close sources that he would prefer a move to the Camp Nou. The Argentine has had his role at the Parc de Princes reduced primarily to a substitute, and has made majorly cameo appearances this term. Apparently frustrated due to the playing time avoided him, he is now set for a move away and would like to join compatriots, Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano at Barcelona.

Liverpool have had him on their radar since the summer transfer, but a move didn’t work out and it was hoped the winter will present other chances. Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be adding quality players to the squad this January, but it seems he has missed out on Lavezzi already even before the transfer window opens.

Barcelona lost Pedro to Chelsea in summer and are in search of a replacement. Lavezzi cuts the figure of a type of player that can hold his own down at the Spanish club, and the presence of the national team captain could influence his move eventually.

The 30 year-old is also being targeted by Arsenal who refused to sign an outfield player during summer. In 13 appearances, he has registered his name once in the scoring sheet. Liverpool are in need of a quality winger after the departure of Raheem Sterling in the summer, and Ezequiel Lavezzi would have been a great option by winter. They face Chelsea by weekend and will be hoping to get their first League win after 2 consecutive draws in the EPL since the arrival of Klopp.
