Welcome To Emirates – £160,000-A-Week Man United Target To Sign For Arsenal

North London club, Arsenal have been handed a boost in their race to sign Benzema. Benzema has been linked to the Gunners all summer as Arsene Wenger tries to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2015/2016 campaign.  Arsene Wenger’s efforts to sign Karim Benzema have not been fruitful so far as Real Madrid have turned down every approach made by Arsenal for the 27 year old.

However, reports coming out of Spain have stated that Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal for the French man despite Real Madrid stance on not selling Benzema. It is reported that Real Madrid will be very open to accept a bid of around £40 million pounds for the 27 year old striker.

The Spanish giants have amassed a total debt of €600 million euros according to the figures released by its club members. Madrid’s debt increased from €541 million euros to €600 million euros in the space of a year and it is said to be spiraling out of control. Real Madrid president Fiorentino Perez, being a shrewd business man that he is will be looking for ways to cut costs in the team and reduce Madrid’s debt.

Perez has been known to make a marquee signing every year and this year according to reports will  be no different. However, a marquee player can only come in if Madrid sells one of its galaticos due to their debts and Karim Benzema is the player likely to be sacrificed for the arrival of a marquee signing. With this turn out of events, all that is required of Arsenal is to make Madrid a tempting and big money offer for Benzema and surely Madrid will have no choice than to accept.
