In the aftermath of Karim Benzema’s tweet denouncing a move away from Real Madrid, Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Karim Benzema as it seems all hope is not lost yet. Karim Benzema has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the transfer window and it seemed that the French striker was on the brink of completing a £45 million move to the Emirates. It would seem attention was directed away from the Benzema transfer so as to help the progression of the deal as the media spotlight was doing more harm than good to the deal.
