The summer transfer window has not yet officially started, but that has not stopped Arsenal from wrapping up deals ahead of pre-season as they look to challenge for the elusive Premier League crown next season.
They are close to the signing Petr Cech from Chelsea and Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton. However, the Gunners seem to have achieved a major coup in the transfer market by reportedly moving to the front of the queue to sign the Chilean midfielder and Juventus superstar Arturo Vidal.
Juventus were likely to lose either one of Pogba or Vidal their summer and it seems they have decided to let the Chilean move on. With the departure of Pirlo looming large, Juventus are set to line up with a new look midfield next season. Arsenal , for their part, will be hoping that the arrival of one of the best midfielders in the world will propel the club to new heights. Vidal’s departure would free up some much needed cash to offer Pogba a new deal to convince him to stay at the Old Lady.
Vidal would be joining fellow Chilean Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates Stadium if he does sign for the Gunners.Arsenal are planning a formal bid in the coming days. Vidal is currently on international duty with Chile at the Copa America, where he is also the top scorer, and is expected to decide on his future once the tournament ends. He has refused to talk about his future as he concentrates on leading Chile to their first ever title.
