Welcome To Emirates – Arsenal Set To Sign A Striker Finally, £20m Star On The Way

It is turning out to be a disappointing transfer window for Arsenal as the Gunners are reportedly close to missing out on Juventus youngster Kingsley Coman as Bayern are understood to be favourites to land the player. Bayern Munich are said to have tabled a £13 million offer for the 19 year old winger, bullying Arsenal out of the race to sign Coman.

The 19 year old who recently joined the Italian champions from PSG on a five year deal in 2014 has caught the attention of clubs in Europe with his dazzling performances and has been linked to a move out of Turin after spending just one year at the club. Despite limited appearances for Juventus last season, the 19 year old’s limited appearances was still enough to convince many that he was a player to watch out for in the near future.

Having signed Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal earlier in the transfer window, the Bavarians will be hoping the to use their good business relationship with Juventus to lure Coman to the Allianz Arena.  Arsenal losing out on the highly rated winger will definitely be a big blow for the Gunners, having failed to land any of their targets apart from Petr Cech this season.

However Juventus signing Coman could be a big boost for the Gunners, as the addition of the 19 year old to the Bavarian team will leave the exit door open for one attacking player which could be Arsenal target Mario Gotze. The German player has already been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich due to his inability to find his feet at the club. The arrival of Coman would only push Gotze closer to the exit door thereby making it very easy for Arsenal to snap him up, as Bayern Munich will be looking to cut down on players to maintain squad balance.
