Welcome To Emirates? Arsenal Set To Sign WORLD CLASS DM – Not Krychowiak

Title rivals, Arsenal and Liverpool have been shown the green light in their pursuit of Thiago Motta, according to reports emanating from the Spanish press.

The 32-year-old Italian midfielder looks set to move to Spain and join Atletico Madrid in his quest for a new life and fresh challenge. The player joined PSG from Inter Milan in the January of 2012 and is keen to returning to his former club Athletico Madrid.

Motta spent 2008-2009 season at the Vicente Calderon, but was bench ridden throughout his stay. A return to play under Diego Simeone looks his favored move. Athletico Madrid sold their midfield maestro Ardan Turan to Barcelona and are keen on replacing him.

However, the Spanish paper Marca, are reporting that a prospective deal for the player has “hit the rocks”. The Premier Duo of Arsenal and Inter Milan have been monitoring the player, Motta is of Brazilian Descent, as they are keen on bolstering their squad ahead of this season’s campaign.

The stalemate in this deal would allow the Gunners open talks with the experienced midfielder. The EPL title favorites were shocked in the opening game last Sunday due to defensive blunders. Motta will be a viable option to Francis Coquelin and aid his development.
