Arsenal are set to beat Manchester United and Manchester City to the signature of Benfica teenage prospect Goncalo Guedes, as per the Daily Star.
Guedes has caught the eye with his impressive displays and Arsenal have sent their most reliable scouts to monitor the hotly-tipped youngster, so says the report.
The Gunners are famed with their philosophy of getting young talents and grooming them to become world beaters, hence, Guedes could be tempted with the possibility of playing for Arsene Wenger’s side.
The 19-year old has been dubbed the new Cristiano Ronaldo and has been tipped for a bright future ahead of him.
However, Benfica are not willing to lose Guedes yet and as such, the Portuguese giants have slapped a hefty price tag of £40m on the teenager to fend off interests from potential suitors.
Man United want to bring in the Portuguese teenager in the same way they brought in Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon, while City are also keen on the youngster. However, Arsenal’s style of football is reportedly exciting Guedes, who may make the switch to the Emirates in January.
