Welcome To London – Arsenal Set To Sign WORLD CLASS Striker In €57M Deal – Not Benzema

After Arsene Wenger supposedly ruled out the prospect of Arsenal making a move for Napoli’s Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain, the Express have reported that Arsenal are transferring their attentions to Karim Benzema. The Madrid man has been the subject of lots of transfer speculations linking him to an exit from the Spanish giants.

Arsenal are in the market for a world class striker after club legend said that the club cannot continue to rely on Olivier Giroud who has been massively inconsistent in front of goal. He said that the club should look to sign an elite center forward and Benzema and Higuain are the names that have been linked with the club in recent weeks.

Higuain has long been a target for Arsene Wenger as he came close to signing him when he left Real Madrid in 2013 and coupled with his current clubs (Napoli) inability to secure Champions League football, this would be the best time to make a move for the clinical finisher. However, to the disappointment of most Arsenal fans, the Express claim that the French gaffer has ruled our making a move for Higuain and has set his mind to acquire the services of Benzema who is rumoured to be available at £40 million.

Benzema seems to be facing an uncertain future at Madrid after new coach, Rafa Benitez started experimenting with Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo as the top of the attack thus subjecting the Frenchman to a bench role and considering that the European Championships that would be held in his native France is around the corner, he would want first team football to be guaranteed so he can be in a rich vein of form ahead of the championship.

Benzema has refused to rule out a move away from Madrid but the Express claim that he remains a personal favourite of supremo, Florentino Perez thus making the deal unlikely to happen.
