Welcome To Manchester – £58.5m Star Arrives For Medical, Release Clause Triggered

According to various reports, Manchester United target Kevin De Bruyne is on the verge of completing a move to Manchester City after the citizens made a bid of €80m for the player which has been accepted. According to the reports, the player has flown to the city of Manchester and will have a medical tomorrow. Should the report be true, this will surpass the previous British record which United set last summer for the purchase of Di Maria from Real Madrid.

Days ago, there had been reports that Manchester United are set to enter the race for the player with Bayern Munich and Chelsea also said to be interested in the assists king but it appears the citizens have moved quickly to wrap up the deal. According to the reports, De Bruyne preferred to remain in the Bundesliga and was waiting for a bid from Bayern Munich which never arrived.

An announcement is expected later today and it remains to be seen how the high rated Belgian fair at Manchester City especially as the citizens already have David Silva, Sterling, Yaya Toure, Jesus Nava and Kelechi Iheancho.
