Welcome To North London – Arturo Vidal To Become A Gunner In Days

Arsenal have reportedly been told they can sign Madrid target Arturo Vidal this summer. According to reports, the deal could be completed in the next few days.

Juventus are willing to let their prized midfielder leave but have told Arsenal (and other interested buyers) that Vidal will only join them if they pay £32 million for his services, as per Express.

The Chilean international has been attracting a whole lot of interests from several European top clubs after helping Juventus to a Serie A and Copa Italia title last term.

Reports have also confirmed in recent times that the former Bayern Leverkusen player has agreed to move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants’ bid of £25 million is well beyond Juventus’ valuation.

Hence, Vidal is still open to a move to Arsenal or any other club that meets the Old Lady valuation of £32 million for the 28-year old.

Vidal, 28, was part of the Chile team that recently won the Copa America tournament. It is, however, believed that his national team mate, Alexis Sanchex who plays for Arsenal has been urging him to make a move to the Emirates.

Arsenal’s bid of £21 million for Vidal was turned down by Juventus last month after various reports in Chile had claimed the Bianconeri’s star has agreed a move to the Gunners. Lampa, a Chilean publication had said the move was almost done.

Now that Tuttomercatoweb via Express has revealed that a move to La Liga for Vidal is not yet guaranteed, Arsenal and other suitors would be on alert and would be hoping to meet the Italian club’s asking price for the ex-Colo Colo midfielder.

Manchester United almost signed the box-to-box midfielder last summer before boss Van Gaal “pulled the plug” on the deal as a result of the player’s recurring knee injury.

Arsenal have only completed one major signing this summer, having signed Petr Cech from London rival, Chelsea.

Juventus, on the other hand, might sell Paul Pogba who is wanted by almost all of Europe’s top clubs. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Oscar and Ramires have been tipped to replace the young French midfielder if he leaves Turin.

Vidal has had an excellent 2014/15, winning his fourth Serie A title and a Copa Italia title with Juventus. He also got to the Champions League final with the Italian Champions, but they lost eventually to Barcelona.

The tough-tackling midfielder’s season ended with a  Copa America triumph with his country Chile.
