Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal appears to have stepped up his pursuit for a top striker addition to his squad, ahead of the 2015/2016 EPL season which is only few weeks away.
Following the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao away from the Old Trafford, the Red Devils are now short of forwards- having only Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez- and are looking to sign a top striker to augment the Striker’s position.
After moves for identified prime-targets- Christian Benteke, Harry Kane, Karim Benzema and a few others- woefully failed to materialize, coach Louis Van Gaal has now moved to try to poach Uruguay and PSG forward Edinson Cavani; and would seek to use PSG target, Angel Di Maria as part of the deal.
The 28 year-old Uruguayan would definitely be an invaluable addition to United’s striker-hungry squad. He possesses a crazy eye for goal, good speed, aerial and ground strength as well as great movement within and outside the box; and could potentially provide good link-up play between Bastian Schweinsteiger, Memphis Depay, and Wayne Rooney.
An frontline involving himself and Rooney, being spoonfed by Scweinsteiger, Depay and Schneiderlin would indeed birth goals in multiples- which Van Gaal so greatly desires- and it is expected that the dutch coach would exercise his financial freedom in order to bring the player to the Old Trafford.
