Welcome To Old Trafford? Louis Van Gaal HINTS At Thomas Muller Signing

After scoring a brace in Bayern 5-0 demolition of Hamburg in their Bundesliga curtain raiser, he responded to questions from journalist about Manchester United boss’ interest in him and the increase in his market value after a fantastic performance in the match.

After the game, the German goal poacher was asked by Sky Germany whether van Gaal would have to cough up more money to acquire his services after he openned his account for the 2015/2016 season with two goals. The 25-year old playfully answered that he was not in the right position to comment on it.

“I don’t know, you have to ask him. I am the wrong man for this question”.

The Red Devils have been linked to the versatile German attacker all summer and are optimistic that a bid in the region of £50 million would be enough to price the prolific attacker to the English Premier League. However, after selling club vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger to the Old Trafford based club, the Bavarians would definitely not be willing to lose him. It is expected that the club would try to hold onto their man at all cost.

With Rooney struggling for goals in his first two matches this season,Muller would provide support to Rooney up front and his versatility means that he can be deployed across the attacking band in LvG’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.
