Welcome To Old Trafford – LVG Wants 26 Goals 6 Assists Striker At Manchester United

According to recent reports, Telegraph’s Mark Ogden has recently stated that Robert Lewandoski is on top of Louis Van Gaal’s transfer wish list. Radio show host Pilib de Brun tweeted the news after interviewing Mark Ogden. He tweeted “Talking to @MOgdenTelegraph right now, said he was told LVG’s dream striker signing is Lewandowski @BeyondthePitch @SiriusXMFC” According to reports, Ogden went on to further state that United are desperate to add an attacking option as well as a marquee signing to the team in which the Polish striker fits the bill.

The Red Devils have also been linked with Bayern Munich striker and Lewandoski’s team mate Thomas Muller but have had no luck in their chase for the German. Either of the two strikers coming to Manchester United could still serve as a marquee signing but Bayern Munich seem very unlikely to let any one of the two players leave.

However, Pep Guardiola’s constant tinkering of the Bayern Munich side could likely frustrate any of the two strikers into leaving the club. Manchester United have just Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernanadez as their senior strikers to rely upon over the course of the season and the Mexican’s 2nd leg performance against Club Brugge has further increased the cries for another striker at Manchester United.

Lewandoski’s lethal finishing over the years as earned him the honour of being ranked as one of the top marksman in Europe.  The 27 year netted 25 goals for Bayern to become their top joint goal scorer last season and has scored 3 goals for Bayern Munich. With Bastian Schweinsteiger already signed to United, the Red Devils will be eager to add one more signing from the Bavarians and it remains to be seen who it will turn out to be.
