Welcome To Stamford Bridge – £80,000-A-Week Two Times UCL Winner To Join Chelsea In January

Chelsea have seriously needed a striker in the club this season with seven losses in twelve games in the English Premier League and a new record of three consecutive losses in the English League for the club.

Diego Costa has been on a serious goal-drought and Falcao has not been able to score or even play while Loic Remy has been just an addition to the squad.

It has then gotten quite obvious that the team needs a striker as soon as the January transfer window and reports are claiming that Chelsea are lining up former Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez as a shock potential January target, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Mexican only left Old Trafford in the summer transfer window after almost five years at the club in which he was always used as a substitute player and this became quite frustrating and he had to move away on loan last season to Real Madrid.

Since joining German giants Bayer Leverkusen however, the 27-year old has netted an impressive 12 times in 19 games for both club and country and it is obvious that the striker has gotten better with just a move to the German Bundesliga.

Reports suggest that ‘Chicharito’, as he is nicknamed, could be available for around £8.5m should Mourinho wish to lure the player into the Stamford Bridge.

It remains to be seen what happens with Mourinho and Hernandez in the January transfer window.
