Wenger Confirms that there are Several Hidden Talents in the Lower League

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that his side still sends scouts to monitor players who mature late in lower league. The Frenchman is well-known for is bargaining power, with is reputation in the transfer market famously known to be spending heavily unless there is a special talent that come along his way.

Up until now Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are the most expensive signing at Arsenal under Wenger, and the duo have indeed proven that they are worth their transfer fees having made enough impact to boost the Gunners title hopes.

The Frenchman has revealed that Arsenal do still send scouts to watch the lower leagues in search of hidden talents.

“Some maybe mature late,” Wenger wrote in Arsenal’s match day programme.

“There’s maybe a little lost generation in the lower leagues that now people are starting to recognize.

“I’m conscious of that and I ask my scouts to go down to the lower leagues as well. I’m sure there are some more players there who can have a huge impact on the Premier League.”
Arsenal scouts are closely monitoring several talents, as of recently, Arsenal signed two Nigerian talents which led their national team to the finals of U17 World Cup where they beat Mali 2-0.
