Wenger to bring £10m star from PSG, player eager to move, PSG president speaks on the transfer

Arsenal are planning to launch a bid for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot in January transfer window, according to Sun on Sunday. Gunners’ manager Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the player and has previously attempted to sign on various occasions.

The wealth of talent in PSG’s midfield has limited Rabiot to sporadic appearances for the club this season, and he expressed a wish for a loan move in January some time back.

According to the report, Arsenal are ready to make a bid of around £10million for the player in January. But signing him won’t be an easy task as PSG president recently claimed that the midfielder is not for sale at any cost.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: “He’s 20 years old, plays regularly in a big team. He’s come through the youth academy — the club has given him a lot. I’ll never accept that he considers himself more important than the club.”

“The club will always be more important than any player. He’s a big talent. My dream is that he might become captain of PSG one day. But he has to respect the club, the coach and his teammates.”
“He’s part of the PSG family and he should respect it. He understood the message. He’ll be there at 100 percent in January.”
