West Brom Songs and Chants: From Albion ’Til I Die to We’ve Conquered All the Midlands
Football supporters love nothing more than to show their love and appreciation for the side that they support. If the opportunity arises, they also don’t mind taking a dig at their rivals too. The joy of football fans as a collective is that they can belt out some songs with lyrics that can be funny, emotional or just plain awe-inspiring. Every club has its own songs that the supporters like to sing during a match, which could be specifically aimed at the players on the pitch or could be about former heroes who once ran out in the club colours and made a name for themselves.
In that sense, West Bromwich Albion are no different to any other team, with the fans of the Baggies knowing a wealth of different tunes that they can engage in in order to provide the players with a decent atmosphere in which to play their matches. The Hawthorns might not be known as the most intimidating place to head to to watch a football match, but the supporters know how to get behind their team when they’re needed. Whilst some of the chants might be quite basic in nature and others take songs made famous by other teams before making them their own, some are unquestionably unique.
Here is a look at some of the songs and chants that West Brom fans can pull out on a weekly basis. It is fair to say that this list is far from exhaustive, so if you feel like you’ve heard something being sung from the terraces in the past then you’re almost certainly right and this page isn’t supposed to dissuade you of that theory. Instead, we’re looking to give you a bit of a sense of what Baggies supporters might like to sing from time to time.
Albion ’Til We Die

There are countless different fans that sing this song, changing the exact lyrics in order to match the team that they support. It is a ditty that aims to give the players a sense of how much the club is loved, whilst also taking the opportunity to have a dig at their main rivals in Wolverhampton Wanderers. Here is what you’ll be likely to hear from the supporters:
We’re Albion till we die,
We’re Albion till we die,
We’re blue ‘n’ white,
The wolves are shite,
We’re Albion till we die!
(Repeat)
And it’s West Bromwich Albion
Speaking of songs that are sung by teams up and down the country with their own version trotted out in order to make it more relevant, this is one that very much ticks that box. Even if you don’t support the Baggies, it won’t take you long to recognise it and alter the lyrics in your head so that they more readily suit the team that you support…
And it’s West Bromwich Albion,
West Bromwich Albion F.C.,
We’re by far the greatest team,
The world has ever seen!
Marty Phillips
Not every player of every club gets a song, but sometimes there’s something about them that tickles the fancy of the supporters who make up the tunes that get belted out in the ground. Marty Phillips is one of the ones who got the honour from the fans in the Hawthorns, who continue to sing this even now:
Oh Marty Phillips
Oh is he so wonderful.
He’s beautiful, magical,
And when he runs down the wing
He’s as fast as lightning.
It’s frightening,
And it makes all the Baggies sing:
Do do do do do do do do do do do do.
Jed Wallace
Another player who did enough to see Albion fans decide to give him his own song was Jed Wallace. Although supporters of the Baggies were unlikely to actually believe that the club had the ability to win the league, claiming that they could was enough in the lyrics for this number:
Jed Wallace.
(Wallace!)
Running down the wing,
(Wallace!)
Hear the Albion sing.
(Wallace!)
We’re gonna win the league!
Boing Boing Baggies
Some of the best songs and chants that supporters can get involved with are the ones that allow them to engage themselves physically. For West Bromwich Albion fans, the Boing Boing Baggies chant ticks all the boxes, with the supporters literally bouncing as they chant the same words over and over again.
It might sound quite simple, but it’s genuinely impressive to see literally thousands of people engaging in bouncing up and down whilst pumping their arms and chanting the following:
Boing, Boing,
Boing, Boing,
Boing, Boing,
Boing, Boing,
Boing, Boing,
Boing, Boing…
(Repeat)
Carlos Corberán
It isn’t just players that get their own song, with managers who impress the supporters enough also getting shown some love. In the case of Carlos Corberán, the Spaniard was in charge at the Hawthorns between 2022 and 2024, but his song still rings out now and again thanks to the fact that the words are funny and the fans like to use it to improve the atmosphere during matches. Here is how it goes:
Carlos Corberán,
Carlos Corberán:
He eats paella,
He drinks Estrella,
He loves the Baggies.
1, 2, 3, 4…
(Repeat)
Que Sera, Sera
Every now and then, the Albion faithful get to hit the motorway and travel down to Wembley. Although appearances in the likes of the FA Cup and League Cup finals have become less and less common, the play-off finals certainly haven’t. When it looks as though the club is going to get to head down to the country’s principal stadium, this is the song that the supporters bring out:
Que sera, sera,
Whatever will be, will be,
We’re going to Wembley,
Que sera, sera…
When the Stripes Go Marching In
West Bromwich Albion play their home games in blue and white stripes, which allows the supporters to sing a version of ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’ that is dedicated to the team that they love. Here are the words that Baggies fans sing:
Oh when the stripes,
(Oh when the stripes!)
Go marching in,
(Go marching in!)
Oh when the stripes go marching in,
I wanna be in that number,
Oh when the stripes go marching in…
(Repeat)
Dodgy Refs
Let’s be honest, every football fan of every club up and down the land believes that the referee is out to get them. Sadly, the truth of the matter is that the standard of refereeing seems to be at an all-time low, whilst the introduction of the Video Assistant Referee to top-flight football has done next to nothing to alleviate the problem. The referees are still bad, now they’re just bad after also having watched the incident on a television replay.
West Brom fans like to suggest that there is some sort of issue for them, wherein the referee in their game is always terrible for some reason. They are probably right, but it isn’t a conspiracy and is instead down to the fact that the refs are always poor for everyone. Even so, here are the words that they use to display their dissatisfaction, which are not suitable for kids:
Shit refs,
We always get shit refs,
We always get shit refs,
We always get shit refs…
We’ve Conquered All the Midlands
Liverpool FC are the most successful club in England, especially when it comes to their European exploits, where they’ve won six European Cups. The supporters introduced a song called ‘We’ve Conquered All of Europe’, with relevant lyrics attached. Unsurprisingly, this soon caught on with other groups of fans, who turned the lyrics around to match their own club’s ambitions. This is the amusing version that Baggies fans sing from time to time:

The Black Country too.
