Media personality Piers Morgan has shed some light on his conversation with Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech at the wedding of Cech’s former Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard. Piers Morgan has revealed that Petr Cech assured him that Arsenal would win the Premier League title this season during a conversation on Sunday evening.

The pair both attended Frank Lampard’s wedding over the weekend, with Cech and his Arsenal team-mates gearing up for their Premier League showdown with Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

Arsenal won the game against City on Monday courtesy of goals from Walcott and Giroud along with another impressive performance from Mesut Ozil. Arsenal, who have not won the Premier League title since the 2003-04 season, are currently second in the table and will be looking to overtake Leicester in their next couple of games.

Leicester’s only loss in the league this season came against Arsenal in a 5-2 thriller that saw Alexis Sanchez score multiple goals. The race to the top seems tightly contested at the moment but Wenger is confident that Arsenal can stand the test of time this season.
