Who were Liverpool captain’s top three for Ballon d’Or?

Cristiano Ronaldo was tonight voted the best player in Europe after winning the Ballon d’Or for the first time since 2008 when he was at Manchester United. Along with the Brazilian Ronaldo, they are the only players to have a five year stretch between claiming the award.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, as part of his responsibilities as England captain, voted Cristiano Ronaldo in 1st place, Lionel Messi in 2nd place, and Liverpool team mate, Luis Suarez, in 3rd.
