Who Will Take Over Chelsea? Club Linked with Manuel Pellegrini while Diego Simeone is Taking English Lessons

Every day we hear conflicting reports about the managerial appointment at Chelsea. Interim-manager Guus Hiddink is set to vacate the post at the club in summer, and the West London club is actively searching for his replacement.

Various high-profile candidates including the likes of Diego Simeone, Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte have been linked with the job.

The Times has now linked current Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini to the post at Stamford Bridge.

The Chilean is set to make way for Pep Guardiola at Etihad Stadium in the summer. He has won a Premier League title with City and could prove to be an ideal prospect for Chelsea as he has previous Premier League experience.

In another news, Sunday People Sport has claimed that the Blues have recently contacted Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone for the job.

According to Sunday People’s Tom Hopkinson, the Blues have once against contacted the Argentine as he remains their number one target. The West London club has reportedly contacted Simeone’s sister Natalia, who acts as his agent.

Simeone has a release clause of around £3.1million in his contract with Atletico, which could rise to £5.4m if he manages to win either of La Liga or Champions League this season.
