Why Liverpool Will Beat Arsenal Signing Of 6 Goals In 7 Games Striker

Ahead of the winter transfer window, Liverpool are weighing up a move for the Portuguese rave of the moment, Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian striker stars for Portuguese champions Benfica and has already netted 6 goals in 7 appearances. Hence , according to the reports in the Mirror, there is a huge Premier League interest in him as Liverpool had scouts watch him at the weekend when he bagged a brace for his club in the Portuguese Primera Liga.
Liverpool would be keen to add more firepower to their attack that has suffered significantly in recent weeks in the wake of injury to striker Danny Sturridge. Italian striker Mario Balotelli was brought in, in the summer to mitigate the pain of losing star striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona but the maverick forward hasn’t really delivered the goods as he has only a goal in 8 appearances to show for his efforts.
The interest in Talisca could be an indication that Rodgers is getting tired of the misfiring Balotelli. The Irish man recently revealed that the Italian was just a last resort and not the first option. A move for the Brazilian could see the Italian ditched.
Talisca could be a decent acquisition especially now that he is delivering the goods which means he is high on confidence. His versatility also means he appeals more to the Reds. He can play in the absence of Sturridge and Balotelli as a striker but can also play with either of them in the no 10 role.
Liverpool would be keen to land him in January when his price won’t be too astronomical and probably to also fend off the challenge of Premier League rivals Arsenal that are also interested. The Gunners also had scouts in the stands watching him at the weekend.
