This time of year you’d be expecting to hear about new additions to your clubs and now is no different. AS Roma and Inter Milan have been active in the transfer window with Juan Jesus trading Inter for Roma as well as other business being done. Both teams have also had their new Nike away kits revealed for their upcoming Serie A campaigns.
Looking to go a step further from last season’s 2nd place finish Roma will be sporting a classic white kit including their home colours of red and yellow away from home. As we all know football kits have come a long way technologically from even a decade ago and these new Nike outfits fit that bill.
As you can see above the kit is great blend of tradition and technology to excite fans on their travels. Coming into play with the colour scheme of the shirt is the Roma tradition with the dark red and yellow stripes along with the words “We Are Rome” featured on the inside of the neck of the shirt. Partnering with Nike sees the use of their Dri-FIT technology. This is best seen with the use of the yellow and red stripes running down the sides of the kit which expand during movement, assisting with ventilating the shirt to further help players deal with the demands of 90 minutes of football.
This particular shirt will be made available on July 1st on www.nike.com and www.asromastore.com, as well as other retail stores.
Following a 7th place finish in last season’s Serie A Inter will be expected to returning to the San Siro with a better chance of reaching their former glory and maybe their new away kit can help them on their travels.
Their change strip, like Roma’s, remains traditional while incorporating the new side of the game. Implementing the classic white, blue and black away colours along with that Firelli sponsorship under the iconic Inter crest, which Inter fan would this not appeal to?
Like the Roma kit, the Inter version includes blue stripes down the sides to help with ventilation accompanied by white socks infused with Nike Grip technology to help minimise any distractions while playing.
The kit also speaks to the fans directly like the Roma kit. Inside the neck of the shirt, you can see ‘Nerazurri’ as well as ‘Inter’ being on the cuffs of the sleeves. Hopefully, for the Inter fans, these reminders could help bring Inter back to their legendary European status and fill their players with pride.
If you’re interested in buying this shirt it’ll also be available on July 1st at www.nike.com and the online Inter shop, as well as other retailers.
