According to Daily Star, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward may be considering to bring in a new manager to replace van Gaal.

It is reported that City’s appointment of Guardiola has intimidated United’s top bosses and they are now under pressure to find a new manager after van Gaal’s inconsistent performance.

The bosses are reportedly ready to bring in Jose Mourinhno, who was reportedly been on the United’s shortlist of managers alongside Pep Guardiola.

It is believed that the former Chelsea manager is the only candidate who is capable of going “toe-to-toe” with Guardiola.

This has since opened many debates as to whether van Gaal should worry about his future or not.
