Chelsea are the new ‘Real Madrid in transfer window business’ with the number of deals completed and are about to be completed before the transfer window closes. The Blues may have had a slow start to their summer transfer window, but things have surely picked up pace now and they do not look like slowing down. Just few days after wrapping up the signing of both Abdul Baba Rahman and Pedro Rodriguez from Augsburg and Barcelona respectively.
The Reigning Barclays premiership Champions have reportedly tabled an audacious offer for Juventus and French playmaker Paul Pogba. Just when it seemed like Juventus were going to keep their highly rated midfielder for yet another season after much anticipated interest from several top clubs in Europe, Chelsea have emerged as a front-runner to sign the French midfielder.
It is being reported in several news outlets that the Blues have made a daring £86 million pounds bid for Paul Pogba in an attempt to sway Juventus’s mind over selling the French player. Although Juventus manager Alllegri has stated clearly that Paul Pogba is not for sale for any amount, the Italian could be left powerless in rejecting such an audacious bid.
Contrary to reports that Jose Mourinho were not interested in Pogba, the Portuguese boss however, did not rule out a move for Pogba while also passing comments over Juventus manager. He said “I can’t speak about a Juventus player,” “I know Allegri was speaking all summer about [Chelsea players] Oscar and Ramires, but I don’t do that. “People used to call it the transfer window.”I call it the opportunity window. While the window is open, there is always an opportunity.”
