Wenger is apparently in the market for a strong midfielder who can play the box to box and defensive midfield role for the club.<\/p>\n<p>Arsenal have already been linked to Sven&#8217;s twin Lars as well as Ilkay Gundogan, Morgan Scheriderlin, Geoffrey Kondogbia among others. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was said to have held discussions with AS Monaco&#8217;s Geoffrey Kondogbia and if Bild is right, it could be that the gunners have suffered defeat in their chase for the Frenchman and will instead try to sign Sven Bender.<\/p>\n<p>Bender, 26, is a powerful midfielder who stands at 6 feet 1 inch tall. He can play in the box to box role and as well as a proper defensive midfielder. Should Arsenal sign him, he will be expected to provide competition\/cover for Ramsey, Coquelin, Wilshere and Cazorla.<\/p>\n<p>He reportedly currently only earns \u00a341,000 a week which means wages is very unlikely to be an issue for Arsenal.
