Ligue 1 giants Marseille have signed Arsenal flop midfielder and French international Abou Diaby into the French side.<\/p>\n
The club did not release all the details of the deal which brought the injury-prone midfielder to the Velodrome but the 29-year-old, who has been capped 16 times for France did not enjoy the best of times at the Emirates and the player, manager and fans of Arsenal will bid him journey mercies as he leaves the Emirates for Marseille.<\/p>\n
The player who was signed in 2006 last appeared for Arsenal in a League Cup tie last September and has been on and off the squad for over four years with injuries which seem to stick to him everytime he comes on the pitch.<\/p>\n
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said about the player that, \u201cI have enormous respect for Abou Diaby but each time he came back, we had to start again from zero because of another injury.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe is not a player who is fragile but just a victim of a violent tackle which went unpunished.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n Diaby is a player who always does well for the France national team everytime he comes on the pitch for his country and has undoubtedly been an engine room and playmaker for the France national team but has just not been able to do that for Arsenal and this is clearly due to the fact the English Premiership is a very hard league which boasts of the hardest and best right-backs and left-backs and centre-backs and defensive midfielders in the world who don\u2019t mind giving you an injury to think about rather than allow you dance around them and destroy their integrity as players.<\/p>\n Diaby must have thought about this when he turned down an offer from Arsenal\u2019s Premier League rivals West Brom because this will mean that he will still be in the English league and will still be meeting his arch enemies and waterloo players like Joey Barton who do not mind getting into a fight anytime they come on the pitch.<\/p>\n Diaby is a player that can easily perform and provide the best passes and finish with rebound shots of class when needed but has not had the opportunity at the premier league and this move to the French Ligue 1 will allow the player perform his best as the French league is considerably less physical than the English league and this will also ensure that he is closer to his home and can challenge for a spot in the France national team again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ligue 1 giants Marseille have signed Arsenal flop midfielder and French international Abou Diaby into the French side.
