Harry Redknapp\u2019s side came perilously close to gaining a point away at Stamford Bridge \u2013 and it would have been a point very well-deserved. Quite simply \u2013 they played better than any other Premier League side to have visited Stamford Bridge this season and there are sure signs that the tide is beginning to turn for QPR.<\/p>\n<p>Man City, on the other hand, with both midfield star David Silva and defender Aleksandar Kolarov out of first team action \u2013 haven\u2019t looked quite themselves of late.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s really interesting, therefore, is the massive price on the R\u2019s with the major bookmakers. Some are offering as much as 7-1 or more on a home win \u2013 including 888, Skybet and 32 Red. This looks ludicrously big given that QPR are playing at home, and we all saw what West Ham did to Man City. And this home game for QPR is surely a lesser challenge than that which they faced away at unbeaten Chelsea, which some pundits they were unlucky not to win outright. They were certainly unfortunate to come away completely empty-handed after Charlie Austin\u2019s excellent equaliser.<\/p>\n<p>QPR were absolutely tireless at Stamford Bridge in their overall pursuit of the game. And when Austin\u2019s touch of inspiration came in diverting Fer&#8217;s shot (which was heading wide), past Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois in the 62nd minute \u2013 it looked like they\u2019d receive their just desserts.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t to be \u2013 but it may be a very different story at home to Man City &#8211; so grab that value while you can. Better still do so without any risk. If you <a href=\"http:\/\/www.32red.com\/games\/roulette.html\">visit 32red<\/a> or some of the other bookmakers, you\u2019ll soon see that you can qualify for big intro bonuses and free bets \u2013 and QPR look a good punt for that money at much too big a price.<\/p>\n<p>QPR, however, are most definitely showing steady signs of improvement. The evidence was clear when they lost 2-3 away to Liverpool. This could and post certainly should have been honours even. Quite how the R\u2019s contrived to lose &#8211; shipping two goals in injury time beggared belief.<\/p>\n<p>And in their next game at home to Aston Villa they were very impressive indeed wining 2-0; a score line which belied the comfort with which the home side won.<\/p>\n<p>What has been particularly impressive about their recent performances is the way that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sport\/football\/article-2815680\/Bobby-Zamora-s-injury-managed-similarly-Ledley-King-s-reveals-Harry-Redknapp.html\">Bobby Zamora<\/a> and Charlie Austin have inked up, up-front. They are cementing a partnership that can surely cause problems to the strongest of opposition defences. Austin bagged a brace against Villa in addition to his afore-mentioned equalizer at Stamford Bridge. They\u2019re also a side that seems to play better \u2013 the better the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>So it will be absolutely no surprise to see the R\u2019s overcome a Man City who have looked a little shaky a few times this season \u2013 and most notably on the road.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Man City\u2019s forthcoming visit to Loftus Road could well prove to be a bit of a banana skin.
