Board Decided: Former Chelsea Coach Jose Mourinho Will Become New Man Utd Manager

Amidst all the speculations, it has been revealed by The Independent, that Jose Mourinho is confident he will be appointed as the next Manchester United manager. It has been reported that after Pep Guardiola’s appointed at City, United’s board is keen to attain Mourinho’s services.

Louis van Gaal is expected to depart from Old Trafford after season’s end, and Mourinho’s representative think that the club is ready to offer the job to ex-Chelsea boss.

Though no concrete deal has been finalised, it is reported that the club has been in talks with the Portuguese for over a month. When asked about Mourinho’s appointment, Manchester stayed quiet and avoided to comment on the matter.

Manchester United’s owner Ed Woodward, doesn’t want immediate replacement but would let Van Gaal, see the season through. The board is keen to hire Mourinho, however a few members of the board aren’t in full support of the idea.

They want to avoid hiring Mourinho, and instead want Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentinian has managed to impress some of the board members enough, to consider him as the next United manager.

However, officially, United has chosen to remain silent over the matter while still considering potential options.
That said, Mourinho, is calm, patient, and has appeared confident over his return to the Premier League next season. Most probably as United’s manager. Though Van Gaal has ridiculed any possibilities of confirmation over Mourinho succeeding him at Old Trafford.
