Costa, Fabregas & Hazard Can Kill Us – Szczesny Warns Teammates

Arsenal’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has told the official site ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge that the players would be looking to keep Chelsea’s striker Diego Costa quiet.

The Brazilian born Spanish striker has been in sparkling form since he joined Chelsea this summer from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid. The 25 year old has scored eight goals in six Premier League games. The only Premier League match he has failed to score so far is Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City two weeks ago, a match he hit the goalpost with a shot.

But, despite this overwhelming statistics, Wojciech Szczesny is of the view that Arsenal can do what only Manchester City have done so far this season in the league by keeping him quiet. However, the former Atletico Madrid striker has scored in Chelsea’s entire Premier League match at Stamford Bridge. But Wojciech Szczesny is of the view that Arsenal can be the first team to stop him from scoring at home;

“We want to be the first team to stop him from scoring” he said.

“Costa is incredible,” he continued “His partnership with Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard has been incredible and, at the moment, he’s looking as dangerous as any striker in the world.

“We’ve got huge respect for him and we know how dangerous he is. I think he’s scored in most games so it’ll be tough test.”

It is appropriate that Arsenal’s goalkeeper acknowledged that it would be a tough test to keep both Diego Costa quiet and indeed the entire Chelsea team. The Spaniard has scored five goals at Stamford Bridge in just three matches against Leicester City, Swansea and Aston Villa, including a hat-trick against the Welsh side.

Although, Wojciech Szczesny is hoping that Arsenal keeps the in form Diego Costa quiet, a lot would depend on the players in front of him and how they defend against him, the former Atletico Madrid striker can be a handful, and he relishes the physical side of the game.
