Breaking: Liverpool to Sign Chelsea First Team Defender in a Shocking Transfer

Yesterday, reports emerged that Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has become frustrated at the lack of opportunities with the Blues and is considering a transfer from the club.

The 30-year-old was a regular starter when Jose Mourinho was in charge at Stamford Bridge, and signed a four-year contract with the club in December.

However, the England international has started only one game following the arrival of Guus Hiddink, and he is worried that the lack of playing time could cost him his spot at the European Championships in the summer.

Daily Star reports that Liverpool are the front-runners to sign Cahill if he becomes available on the market.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is in the transfer market to sign a central defender and Cahill could prove to be a perfect signing for the German.

Cahill signed for the Blues from Bolton Wanderers in a $12 million deal in January 2012 and had become a mainstay in the Blues squad over the years.

He has won Premier League, Champions League and Europa League titles during his time with the West London club.
