Deal Agreed, Arsenal Striker Target Agrees To Sign, Four Years Deal Almost Done

Spanish sources have chipped in with reports that Premier League duo of Arsenal and Liverpool are set to miss out on the signing of Real Betis forward Dani Ceballos.

The Spanish starlet is expected to pen a fresh contract with the La Liga outfit in the coming days after playing a significant role in helping his side to the Segunda title last term.

As per AS, Arsenal and Liverpool were keen on getting Ceballos on the cheap but a move to the English Premier League is now unlikely, with a buyout clause of £11m expected to be included in the midfielder’s new deal and he is also expected to see a rise in his wages.

Ceballos, 19, has featured in 6 games for Betis this season and has provided one assist.

Chelsea also made an approach for Ceballos in September, with reports claiming they have been in pursuit of the Spanish star in 2014. Armed with pace, good vision, technique and brilliant football sense for such a young lad, Ceballos is similar in style to Real Madrid’s Isco.

Ceballos is still a raw talent with a lot to learn and for the sake of his development, he would be better off staying at Real Betis for now at least. And if his performances continue to improve, these interested clubs will surely return to try and sign him once again.
