Arsenal Set To SHOCK Chelsea, Wenger On The VERGE Of Signing Pedro

According to reports, Arsenal have joined the race to sign want-away Barcelona star, Pedro. The player is allegedly unwilling to get accustomed to life on the Barcelona bench- after the arrivals of Neymar, Luis Suarez and Rakitic- and is seeking a move away.

The player, who made over 30 appearances for the club last term- of which he featured mostly as a substitute- scored a paltry 6 goals in all competitions. Having only signed a new contract at the Spanish club last year, the arrivals of Suarez and co. caused the tides to change suddenly; resulting in the club effecting a drastic reduction of his buy-out clause from around £100 million to about £22 million.

Following the development, German giants Bayern Munich, french league side PSG, Arsenal Chelsea of England have all been in touch with the Spanish club over a possible move for the player. Chelsea, in fact, were reported to be closing in on a transfer for the player, with a deal already rumoured to be in place. However, recent reports indicate that Arsenal have recently upped their game and are looking to leapfrog the Blues to land his services.
