GREAT NEWS – Chelsea Makes OFFICIAL Bid For Arsenal Target, Mourinho Keen On Him

Chelsea have reportedly made a £2.5 million bid for Fulham’s goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli, according to various sources, including the Metro.

Bettinelli, an England Under-21 international, is one of the most highly rated goalkeepers in the Championship, and is being tipped by a lot of pundits as one for the future due to his high rising profile. He is also tipped to make the cut to the Three Lions, apparently due to his consistency in the past couple of seasons.

The Blues, according to reports, have been monitoring the activities of the goalkeeper in the past couple of months, and may have been encouraged by what they have seen of the player. Though, the Blues only signed a replacement for Petr Cech last week; Bettinelli is not expected to upset the current arrangement in the goalkeeping area, but would fancy his chances anytime in the foreseeable future.

According to the Times, the Blues have tabled a £2.5m bid for his signature, and are now looking at wrapping up a transfer quickly before other clubs come in for the player.

What Chelsea plan to do with the young lad is not clear at the moment, but letting him go out on loan to continue his development is likely to be the next option for the Blues, who already have more than 30 players out on loan.

The player would be the club’s only third signing in this window, with Radamel Falcao from Monaco and Asmir Begovic from Stoke City as the other two players that have moved to the Stanford Bridge on loan and on a permanent deal respectively.
