Chelsea On The VERGE Of Yet Another Transfer, £65,000-A-Week Set For Move

Nigeria international Victor Moses is one of those wingers who will be offloaded by Chelsea – before the transfer window slams shut on September 1 – following the arrival of Pedro last week.

The Daily Mail is claiming Moses is close to making a switch to West Ham United this summer. Manager of the Hammers Slaven Bilic is said to be looking to bolster his quad with the additions of a couple of players and the Chelsea winger has been earmarked.

Moses, 24, joined Chelsea from Wigan under Roberto Di Matteo’s reign and the winger has spent most of his time away from Stamford Bridge – on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City. Jose Mourinho is keen to get rid of the Nigerian, after previously stating during pre-season that Moses will not be leaving Stamford Bridge.

As per the Mail, Chelsea are now in negotiations with West Ham regarding a permanent deal, after an initial loan transfer. The Blues are reportedly looking to send him out on loan to the Hammers with a view to a permanent deal of around £6m in the future.

Moses was instrumental to Stoke’s top ten finish in the Premier League last season, and Bilic will be hoping the powerful winger will help his side in the attack. The Hammers started the new season in an emphatic fashion, defeating Arsenal 2-0, but stuttered afterwards losing consecutively to Leicester City and newcomers AFC Bournemouth.

Their next league game takes them to Anfield where they will tackle Liverpool, and Bilic will be expecting to have Moses in the squad by then.

Tottenham are also thought to be interested in Moses but it appears Mauricio Pochettino has dropped the interest, instead chasing West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino – whose boss Tony Pulis hit out at the transfer window after last Sunday loss to Chelsea, saying it is ‘disruptive’ and has unsettled the young England striker.
