£80,000-A-Week Juve Target Agrees Three Years Chelsea Deal, Announcement Before January

Chelsea midfielder, Ramires is set to sign a new £3.7 million a year contract that will keep him at the Stamford Bridge till 2017. His previous five-year contract was supposed to expire at the end of this season but the midfielder has been deemed important enough to Chelsea’s plans to have them renew his contract.

The Brazillian was the one instrumental to Chelsea’s draw against Newcastle United last weekend with a long range shot to make it 2-2 to save the Blues and Jose Mourinho from another humiliating defeat and this may have spurred Chelsea to offer him a new contract and for Mourinho to start him against Southampton where he could not save them from a debilitating defeat.

The midfielder who has scored 35 goals in 226 appearances for Chelsea is one that has played his heart out for the club and even the fans must be happy that he is choosing to stay a few more years in Stamford Bridge.

The 28-year-old was substituted for Nemanja Matic at 46 minutes against Southampton. He was replaced because of his yellow card and it was obvious that he was being careful of getting another card and reducing the squad to 10 men. His appearance against Southampton made it his fourth League appearance for Chelsea this season and 152 league appearances overall.

Ramires who has been compared to Michael Essien countless times now has more time ahead of him to make the impact in Chelsea and maybe help the Blues out of this Lurch they find themselves.
