Diego Costa, Rahman Baba & Loftus-Cheek To Start Against Villa

After watching three matches from the sidelines due to suspension which followed from a battle with Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny, Chelsea’s temperamental forward must have learnt his lessons and is ready to face Aston Villa, the player told Chelsea TV (via ESPN).

The incident occurred when Costa almost head butted Arsenal’s defender which subsequently involve other Arsenal’s players. The suspension came as a retrospective punishment for the Spaniard who was showed a yellow card in match.

Even though he was featured in Chelsea’s Champions League defeat to Porto, Spain manager left him out of Spain squad as he was displeased by the player’s attitude.

Nonetheless, when speaking with the media ahead of Chelsea weekend clash with Aston Villa, the lethal and prolific finisher claimed he was ready to play again, having trained on his own.

It has been really important for me. I have been able to train with my own specific schedule to help me get better and better,” Costa said.

“The sessions have been good and I have been able to benefit from being here. I have been working on what I needed to work on and I am happy about that.”

Costa has been relatively impotent in terms of goals this season and it will only be good for Mourinho to caution the player to concentrate on his football instead of countlessly making the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Also likely to start against Villa is Reuben Loft-Cheek, Baba Rahman is also likely to replace injured Ivanoic while doubts remains on the fitness of Tim Cahill.
