Chelsea Trying to Sign Riyad Mahrez as Barcelona Intend to Offer up to £25million

Leicester City has been having a dream season in the Premier League and they are not just in the title race, they are leading it by 2 points. Manager Claudio Ranieri has done a fantastic job this season and their phenomenal run can be contributed to two players, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.

The duo has been fantastic for Leicester at times leading their entire team to victories. Hence, it comes as no surprise that the two players are already on the radar of big Premier League clubs.

Riyad Mahrez has been a Chelsea target and has also been linked to Arsenal, but recent development suggests that Barcelona have also entered the scenario to sign the midfielder.

The Foxes want to get Mahrez sign a contract extension but with interests from big clubs it would be difficult for them to keep their star players. Especially now that Barcelona have shown interest.

According to Daily Mirror, the Premier League leaders have accepted there is a huge possibility of Mahrez leaving the club in the summer for better opportunities.
It has been reported that Barcelona intend to offer £20-25million for the Algeria international and Chelsea could very well be out of picture if the Catalans make an official offer.
