Liverpool to Sign La Liga Star, Club Scouts Were Present at Real Madrid Clash on Sunday

Liverpool could sign Malaga midfielder Ignacio Camacho for as little as £4 million this summer transfer window. The Reds have been tracking the 25-year old for quite some time, and Bleacher Report claimed that club scouts were present at the La Liga clash between Malaga and Real Madrid.

According to the Mirror, the Spanish international has a release clause of £8 million in his contract, but Malaga are ready to let him go for as low as £4 million due to their financial troubles.

Camacho signed for Malaga from Atletico Madrid in 2011, and he has made 148 appearances for the club since then. He made his solitary appearance for the Spain national team back in 2014.

He has made 12 league appearances for the club this season after missing out much of the earlier part of the season.

An earlier report from Spanish news outlet La Opinion de Malaga are close to securing a £7m deal for the player.

The player’s current contract with the club runs until 2019. However, he has earlier indicated that he might change his club in the transfer window.

“If I do leave here, then I want it to be done well and that Malaga are not angry with me.

He said: “But I also think you need to look at the market and its value in case you leave. We all know Malaga’s situation, which isn’t too bad, but they could be forced to sell for a reasonable price.
“It’s always good when teams are looking at you because it means you are doing things right, both individually and collectively. The situation at Malaga is good and that benefits me. I have a contract here but if anyone wants to come in for me, then they will have to negotiate.”
